Job Details
We are seeking a Bridge Structures Examinations and Inspections Project Manager for our Rail Engineering Infrastructure client.
Role Purpose
Reporting directly to the Examinations & Geomatics Director, and working within the Bridge Examinations and Inspections Team, the Project Manager is responsible for day to day delivery and support of projects on the railway infrastructure.
Client facing duties include business development, project management and acting as a technical advisor.
The Project Manager shall provide technical and delivery guidance and motivation to delivery staff and clients.
The applicant should have a full appreciation of wider rail engineering disciplines, including bridge structures and specialist access techniques, ideally with an STE4 qualification or equivalent.
The successful candidate will show a flexible attitude to work, a willingness to take on new challenges, and have a background in working around rail assets and bridge structures, ideally with an experience in specialist rope access techniques.
Key Accountabilities
Project management of rail logistics, examination and inspection projects, reporting of assigned work, and providing support to the wider management team.
Technical checking & assurance of project deliverables.
Liaison with subcontractors and suppliers
Responsible for ensuring that project work is carried out in accordance with agreed technical and quality standards.
Responsible for the health, safety & welfare of delegated staff assigned to their projects.
Candidates must hold a full UK driving licence.
