SEO Lead

The Company:

Our client, a hugely successful agency based in Leeds are looking for an SEO Lead who will be responsible for setting, delivering, measuring and adapting their clients' SEO strategies on an on-going basis. You'll be an expert in all aspects of organic search, the SEO Lead will continually develop their own knowledge and help nurture the skill-sets of the wider search team.

If you have an excellent eye for detail, a technical understanding of the website optimisation process and an agency background in search engine optimisation then this could be the perfect next step for you.

The Role:

As SEO Lead you will lead the development, analysis and performance of your clients' SEO campaigns and will work closely with the wider search team on SEO best practice and new approaches taking into consideration the latest Google algorithm updates.

You'll implement robust off-site strategies to help support and guide the Content, Outreach and PR team. You will also help lead and maintain link building activities and processes across all client campaigns. Working closely with the SEO, Data and Content Marketing teams on a strategic level to develop client proposals and concepts to ensure the various off-site activities achieve the maximum organic impact and hit the KPI requirements.

You will be expected to use various tools to a high level such as: Majestic, Ahrefs, SEMrush, SEOMonitor, Excel, Google Sheets and Google Analytics. You'll also provide strategic client and technical SEO support. Clear and concise client communication is a must.

The Person:

To be considered for this SEO Lead position you'll have 2-5 years in-agency experience and you may even be a high performing SEO Executive who's ready for a step up!

You should possess a solid understanding of HTML, Site Architecture and Javascript SEO. You'll be an expert in using Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets, to assist in the analysis of data, interpretation of insights and recognition of trends, anomalies or opportunities and you'll have prior experience of working with a Data & Insights team to help build SEO toolsets to enhance agency delivery, processes and reporting.

You'll have a passion for the detail that goes into achieving perfection in website content and structure. You'll have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal as well as being a targeted and deadline driven individual.
