Our client has given us an absolutely excellent opportunity for a motivated, ambitious and positive individual to join them in the role of Trainee Account Manager. You will gain invaluable access and training to various areas within the business environment and have the opportunity to progress within the organisation to full account manager.

Attached to the basic salary is a bonus scheme and a superb commission structure which is totally uncapped.

Reporting to the Sales Office Manager you will be responsible for working within a busy sales office with a superb team spirit and good working conditions.

The successful candidate will need to be well organised to maximise incoming and outgoing sales on a day to day basis between company and the customer by improving relationships, problem solving, monitoring sales figures and negotiating large sales enquiries with customers and gaining competitor and customer information enabling the accounts to be managed.

Main responsibilities:


Accountable for accounts assigned to them by sales, GP, units and brands
Managing customers within customer credit limits
Managing business / brand promotions and making sure these are communicated to all customers
Processing customer's orders and making sure the correct information is processed
Building a business relationship with customers
Giving product information including stock availability, prices and delivery
Processing customers orders through our system
Placing enquiries and orders with suppliers
To record/report details on any stock shortages
Making sure the correct delivery information is processed
Making sure all information is accurately communicated to the customer
Giving the customer account information from the sales ledger
Communicating customer information to the Management and Area Sales Manager's
Managing your customers to maximise sales and profit
Liaise with other departments
Customer service

Dealing with any general enquiries
Making sure all information is accurately communicated to the customer
Ensure all promotions are communicated to the customers
Ensure the agreed 'CustomerJourney' is carried out with every customer.
Ensure customers are dealt with in a manner that portrays a professional image.
Person specification

Good communication skills both by phone and face to face
Ability to communicate face to face, via phone, email with Senior Management Team
Good numeric skills
Well written English, spelling and grammar
Desirable but not essential criteria to include:

History of telephone sales, both services and products
Knowledge of the workings of Google and SEO criteria
Interest in motor sport
