Imperial Professionals are delighted to announce that we are working in partnership with an expanding business in the Leeming Bar area that are looking to recruit a Engineering Production Manager
Hours/Shift:
Varied shifts as deemed necessary by the business
Salary:
£45,000 - £50,000 (depending on experience)
Role purpose:
My client are currently looking to recruit an experience Engineering / Production Manager to oversee our manufacturing team. The right individual will have a real passion for what they do. Maintaining the highest standards should be second nature. Taking ownership for quality, people and plant needs to be inherent within their nature. Due to the highly automated nature of the business an engineering background or many years of FMCG experience would substantially benefit in delivering the role.
Main Duties:
Responsible for all aspects of the day to day running of the production and engineering department.
Operating in line with company procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Taking responsibility site wide as necessary during weekend production.
Plan Staff and resources to ensure smooth and efficient running of the Production and Engineering Department.
Communicate effectively across all levels within the company.
Motivating, training and developing staff to achieve their potential and the Company's goals
Providing and maintaining high levels of customer service and satisfaction.
Achieve deadlines, time schedules and targets consistency.
Use own initiative to trouble shoot and problem solve within all areas under your control.
Making decisions that consider customer service impact, food safety, health and safety and cost.
Proactively suggest and deliver process improvements that increase throughputs and efficiency of the production lines.
Controlling staff holidays.
Ensure technical standards are adhered to by team.
Promoting the right behaviours and attitudes.
Requirements:
Experience of leading a team/people management.
Engineering experience and qualifications.
An analytical thinker with a structured approach.
Tenacious and self motivated.
Have a minimum of 5 years experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment;
Have the ability to make decisions in a time pressured environment with a proven track record of performing at a high level in a fast paced customer focused environment.
Hands on attitude to lead from the floor up
Ability to set and deliver medium and long term objectives
Food Safety Qualification, Min L3, Ideally L4
HACCP, Min L3, Ideally L4
Health & Safety, ideally NEBOSH, Min IOS
