This national FM provider are looking to recruit a compliance manager who will be responsible for the technical oversight of all fire detection systems covering several large sites mainly in the Hertfordshire area. The successful applicant will be the subject matter expert for all fire detection systems across these sites, supporting the delivery of the highest levels of technical service, compliance, and support. Providing expert guidance and leadership to all staff, customers, and third-party suppliers, ensuring fire detection systems are operated, diagnosed and repaired to the appropriate statutory and regulatory standards. This interesting opportunity comes with a basic salary to £60,000 plus car allowance and package.
Candidates for this role will need to be a subject matter expert in fire compliance, demonstrating skills in dealing and working closely with internal and external customers and suppliers on complex and interrelated fire detection issues on an ongoing basis. An ONC/OND or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering as a minimum. A complete understanding of Fire risk assessment, experience of working within a highly regulated environment, competent in the design of fire detection and alarm systems.
Applicants will need the following:
Extensive knowledge of both LPS1014 and SP203-1 and rules
Extensive knowledge of BS5839pt1
A thorough understanding of fire protection systems, ideally including sprinklers and portable extinguishers
5+ years' experience on the application of service and maintenance for Fire detection and Alarms
A complete understanding of 3rd party contractor responsibilities and associated auditing
Extensive knowledge of regulatory Fire standards.
Experience in project management including managing sub-contractor works programmes, large installation, and testing programme reporting
