Job Description

Purpose of Job

· To support business growth activity in order to meet agreed targets and budgets

· To keep up to date with the latest developments and changes within the Apprenticeship sector and to cascade and translate into a workable operation

· To engage with all relevant stakeholders' and to effectively manage and deploy team members to meet financial, administrative and quality targets and objectives in line with the overarching strategy of the company

Over-arching KPIs

· Contractual profile and compliance

· Qualification Achievement Rates (QAR) and Minimum Levels of Performance (MLP) targets

· Financial contribution and budgetary targets

· OFSTED compliance

The keyresponsibilities are

· Development of strategic partnerships and business opportunities with employers, partners, funding bodies and others to actively grow the number and range of Apprenticeships

· Actively promote and raise the profile of my client in the Apprenticeship sector

· Lead and successfully deliver required levels of performance across the range of Apprenticeship and contracts within the allocated area of operations

· Design and implement a business strategy for Apprenticeships to maintain existing client base and grow the core business in line with the overall strategic plan

· Responsible for setting and achieving budgets and targets and ensure financial targets are met

· To provide company Operational Managers and the Directors with information and reports as requested, to include month end reports, contractual performance updates and financial data

· Make effective use of the Performance Management process to ensure company and contractual KPIs are met within the area

· Ensure that all operations take place in line with required company policies and procedures

· Negotiate, implement and successfully deliver local projects or contracts to meet required levels of performance

· Support, advise and guide Managers to manage designated areas to deliver required results in terms of agreed KPIs, finances, quality and resources

· Pro-actively maintain detailed knowledge of the company's products/services and government funding guidance and audit requirements and ensure that these are disseminated, maximised, understood and complied with

· Provide the Directors with updates and recommendations in respect of initiatives and Local Market Initiatives

· To conduct detailed market research and industry data and research to check the company is above the national benchmark and that realistic plans are informed to position the company for further contract value or funding opportunities with stakeholders or other relevant agencies

· Ensure high quality and accuracy of data, MI and auditable documents across the team

· Monitor monthly financial performance and analyse monthly HUB reports to ensure payments accurately reflect activity

· Ensure identified areas of best practice are shared across the team

· Prepare costings as required to ensure delivery is cost effective

The key responsibilities are

· Lead, motivate and coach direct reports to achieve targets and in support of their job role

· Performance manage and regularly review all the direct reports, ensure effective application of the performance management process for all staff and ensure direct reports have the necessary support and guidance to deliver targets

· Monitor performance through effective analysis of data, ensure actions taken to address identified areas of under performance and addressed in line with HR policies, quality processes, performance management and disciplinary procedure

· Ensure that staff management activities are carried out in line with company polies and procedures

· Undertake informal investigation meetings as required and inform/liaise with Directors and HR

· Ensuring that staff development and CPD activities are planned to meet identified needs

· Implement recruitment and retention strategy in line with the company's policies procedures

· Recruitment of staff and support and monitoring of recruitment to meet required staffing levels, expertise and budgeted targets

· Communicating updates and information to Managers, team members and companywide

Quality based responsibilities are

· To develop and implement a sales and marketing strategy with the Commercial Director with the use of valid data and research and plan to retain and develop existingbusiness and develop new business contacts and maximise training opportunities

· To evaluate business development activities and support team members in this function

· To analyse results from employer and learner questionnaires for the area and use data to set a development plan for area teams where applicable

· To deliver an exemplar level of customer service to all apprentices, learners and stakeholders

· To support direct reports and team members to identify business solutions to meet client and stakeholder needs

· To support and monitor quality structures and resources, in consultation with the Director of Quality and Quality Manager to deliver high quality programmes across all aspects of teaching, learning and assessment

· To ensure the team delivers training and services in line with each client's needs and company objectives

· Attend contract meetings or product launches as necessary and present as required

· Ensure the teams achieve Company stated MLP and QAR completion rates

· To work with designated IQAs, Quality Manager and the Director of Quality to ensure quality processes and Awarding Organisation requirements are maintained at all times

· Ensure compliance with Health and Safety, Safeguarding, Prevent, British Values and Equality & Diversity and Data Security / Data Protection legislation and company policies and procedures in respect of these areas

· Ensure development needs are identified and training implemented to meet staff needs

· To work collaboratively with the administration team on all data entry to ensure all ESFA and other paperwork is correct and in line with funding, contractual and awarding organisation requirements

· To monitor performance and inform appropriate directors of any identified risks with actions to eradicate and prevent risk

· Evaluate and monitor performance through the Self-Assessment and Quality Improvement processes, supporting production of the self-assessment report

· To ensure areas of improvement are identified and addressed through a regularly monitored Quality Improvement Plan to drive continuous improvement

· Ensure stakeholder feedback is undertaken in line with company standards, it is regularly analysed and improvements made in response to any areas of under performance

· To support on audits, OFSTED inspection or other accreditations as required
