Lead Front End Developer (Angular) £60-65k, (UK Fully Remote)

£60000 - £65000 + Benefits

For experienced Front End Development professionals with a passion for Angular and who thrive on turning design concepts into high quality work, there has never been a better time to join this fast expanding, innovative events technology, and services company.

They are seeking an experienced Front-End Developer to join their UK team on a full-time basis. The position will involve working with a team that specialise in building mobile applications for corporate events and fundraisers and who have now transitioned to virtual events.

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for managing a small team of developers on a number of projects to maintain high standards of coding and adhering to best practices at all times. This is a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment so a cool head is a must
  • Manage a remote team of developers whilst maintaining a high level of motivation
  • Manage workload via project management tools such as Jira
  • Coordinate and manage software releases
  • Work with QA team to ensure new releases and features are fully tested
  • Peer review code in a constructive manner
  • Mentor junior developers
  • Deliver new features on time and communicate progress to senior stake holders
  • Assist with the recruitment of new developers
  • Understand needs of the business ensuring development is kept in line with requirements
  • Deploying both web and native app builds

Skills & Experience:

They are looking for someone who will be able to integrate within their existing team ASAP. The following skills and experience are required:
  • Minimum 4 years professional experience in the industry
  • AngularJS and Angular 2+
  • TypeScript/JavaScript (es6)
  • Sass (or any other css pre-processor)
  • Hybrid web-app frameworks (Cordova/Ionic etc...)
  • A strong understanding of iOS and Android development (Xcode and Android Studio)
  • NGRX (or other state management tools)
  • RxJs (or any other reactive programming library)
  • Unit testing
  • Good understanding of version Control (Git etc...)
  • Experience with RESTful API's
  • Build tools (WebPack, Gulp, Grunt, etc...)
  • Continuous integration pipeline tools (CircleCi etc...)
  • Experience writing scripts to automate build processes etc...
  • A strong understanding of potential security and performance issues
  • Experience managing a team
  • Good soft skills and a positive attitude
  • Experience with third party services (Sentry, Lokalise, App Flow, Ably and Firebase etc...)

Any experience related to migrating AngularJs apps to Angular would also be an advantage.
