Our client requires an Occupational Health Nurse who will set up an in-house occupational health service providing professional, commercial, efficient and customer focussed advice to both the factory and business support functions.
Build effective relationships with stakeholders becoming a key trusted adviser Provide specialist advice and guidance to managers and employees Develop an understanding of factory processes in order to be able to provide appropriate advice Undertake new start health assessments Develop and manage health surveillance program in line with statutory requirements Undertake medical assessments of employees via management referrals and self-referrals Undertake work-based assessments as and when required Provide timely and informative reports and advice to line managers Part of the team managing absence cases and participate in case conferences with line managers and HR/ER advisers Identify and assess any risks/costs to the business and manage these appropriately, escalating if required Produce management reports on absence data and trends to the management team Responsible for the organisations wellbeing agenda and associated proactive initiatives Lead on continuous improvement initiatives Work with the SHE manager to ensure accidents at work are reduced and managed appropriately Provide specialist advice to SHE manager as requested following risk assessments e.g. new medication, pregnancy and stress Manage diary of appointments Qualifications/Registration:
NMC registration with no restrictions on practice Registered Specialist in OH Skills:
Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite Computer Literacy essential Keen to develop and improve on ways of working Ability to maintain confidence Ability to juggle multiple responsibilities simultaneously Team Player
