One of the UK's leading full service law firms is looking for someone to join their internal Risk and Compliance team.
They would ideally like somebody who is circa 2-5 years qualified or someone who is experienced in working within a risk and compliance function at another Law or Professional Services Firm. They would like someone who has experience of the following:
- Experience in developing and embedding Quality standards such as ISO 27001 OR ISO 9001
- Experience of dealing with Claims
The current risk and compliance team is based between Southampton and Oxford. Whilst working arrangements will depend on the individual, they expect this roleholder to spend 2/3 days a week in the office and the rest working from home. (everyone in the team is currently working remotely full time). They are ideally looking for this individual to be based in their Southampton Office.
The internal Risk and Compliance team enable the firm to achieve its corporate objectives by effectively managing and mitigating risk. The team provides high quality, accessible and timely advice through handling all relevant legislation and regulatory requirements and interpreting the frameworks in a digestible way. The team promotes best practice and develops and delivers relevant training to the whole business.
The function is also responsible for obtaining and retaining the firm's quality standards, so experience in this type of application and maintenance will be advantageous. Exposure to handling claims and complaints is essential as is providing advice around risk avoidance.
