Senior DevOps Engineer

Location: London, UK + Work from home options

What would I be involved with?

You'll find yourself participating in the development of high availability, rapidly developed, fully automated solutions primarily built within the Public Cloud (AWS and Azure) using predominately open source software to deliver value to the customer and its users.You'll have high level of autonomy whilst also mentoring and leading other engineers so they can help support you through the daily tasks.

Checking relevant metrics and performing platform updates when necessary. Ensuring it is accessible to users and has capacity for production and deployment.You will also advise developers on how to use the platform effectively, reviewing and advising on their CI/CD pipelines.You may also work to deliver components of new platforms, with the ability to identify continuous improvements to both the process and the systems.

What do I need to succeed?

Strong background in application development along with automation skills with significant experience allowing you to "hit the ground running" for this DevOps role.We'll provide a wealth of exposure to key technologies and experience the following will ultimately lead you to your success:
  • Code management: GitHub,GitLab
  • Code quality: SonarQube
  • CI: Drone, Artifactory, Elastic Container Registry (ECR), Quay
  • Release: Kubernetes Deployment, Drone
  • AWS: General AWS skills, certified practitioner level minimum
  • Scripting: Bash, PowerShell & Python
  • Supporting collaborative incident response with 3rd party tools/software (for example: AWS, Elastic, Sysdig, Artifactory)
  • Protective monitoring: Sysdig Secure
  • Authentication: Keycloak
  • Vulnerability scanning: Anchore
  • Logging: ELK
  • Monitoring: Sysdig
  • VPN: OpenVPN based Access-ACP specific (including managing)
  • Support management, metrics, resolution times
  • Supporting the improvement of documentation where necessary
  • Engaging in ongoing discussions to field live questions regarding services
  • Responding to security or operational incidents, feeding back to the iteration of the base services
  • General 3rd Line Support, ensuring that pipelines and patching states are actively managed
