Faculty Teaching and Learning Assistants - Maths specialism desirable

Required for an immediate start. Temporary contract until 31st August 2021 in the first instance. 36 hours per week term time only 8.30am - 4.45pm. Scale H5, £24,691 pa which pro rata is £21,024 pa.

You will be responsible for supervising classes in the absence of the class teacher and for supporting the learning of students in your attached faculty. These abilities will be assessed at interview.

We are looking for people educated to graduate level (ideally with a Maths specialism) with an interest in how young people learn and enthusiasm for working in a school. Previous experience in schools is not necessary.

This role would be particularly suitable for someone thinking of a career in teaching. There are many and varied CPD opportunities available and previous FTLAs have successfully gained places on PGCE courses and progressed to become qualified teachers.
