Robert Walters are excited to be representing a leading business based in Altrincham. This organisation has gone from strength to strength and due to an internal promotion are seeking a Senior Group Financial Reporting Accountant to play a pivotal role in ensuring the organisations continued success.

Key responsibilities:

Reviewing half and full year consolidated financial statements of the group along with the individual company financial statements of a large number of subsidiaries, to a high standard.

Providing technical accounting and financial reporting expertise to colleagues across the wider finance team and supporting the provision of relevant technical training and development to the groups finance community.

Support in the preparation of the audit committee agenda and delivery of papers across a range of technical accounting and reporting areas and liaison with the external auditors.

Supporting / leading on finance projects linked to the businesses ambitious UK and international growth strategy. This may include projects connected with systems developments, implementing new processes, adopting new accounting standards, and specific accounting analysis.

Full year financial statements under new UK GAAP (FRS 102) for various legal entities.

Preparation of detailed notes to support key accounting items and year-on-year comparisons.

Audit Committee agenda and papers across a wide range of technical accounting and reporting areas.

Provide ongoing accounting support to divisional finance teams / FP&A / commercial teams to ensure any accounting implications are factored into commercial decision appraisals

The successful applicant:

ACA (or ACCA/CIMA) qualified accountant

Manager level or above in practice (ideally big 4) or 2nd/3rd time move

Experience of coaching and developing team members

Technically strong - particularly around IFRS

Able to effectively communicate with senior finance stakeholders

Keen to be a part of a culture of continuous development and process improvement

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Advanced Excel skills
