The Head Teacher of an Ofsted graded 'GOOD' primary school in Blackburn is looking to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant to provide support in their Early Years class. The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with the two Class Teachers (job share) to ensure effective communication and the very best education is provided for the pupils.
The Head Teacher is looking for a qualified Teaching Assistant, who has previous experience in a similar role. Knowledge of the EYFS Framework, Early Years assessment procedures and the running of continuous provision is essential. Phonics teaching experience is also required. The successful candidate will demonstrate a nurturing approach, a passion for the learning and development of young children and excellent team work.
The school is located in Blackburn close by to the M65 and is smaller than the average-sized primary school. The proportion of pupils known to be eligible for the pupil premium is higher than that found nationally, as is the proportion of pupils with SEND and/ or disabilities.
