About the role

They are now recruiting for a Software Consultant to join their IT Team on a 12 month fixed term contract.

You will work in the ICT Service Transition Team to deliver System Implementations with the Change Delivery Team. The role is suitable for an individual with a strong background in Software Development and Implementation in a Software Consultancy or for a Software provider, or as a IT contractor who has worked with Housing Association customers.

You will be required to lead and project manage application software projects, upgrades and implementations applying proven project management tools and techniques.

You must effectively lead Technical Systems Analysts and Test Analysts and mentor more junior staff to deliver technical implementation projects with knowledge transfer and advice on best practice.

The role will also require you to facilitate workshops and user groups to produce detailed design documents , user case stories and requirements for projects.

About you

It is essential that you have an ITIL foundation or another relevant ITSM accreditation or relevant experience along with a Project Management accreditation or relevant experience.

You will have previous experience of working in a senior analytical role or similar management role and also working on Software Implementation Projects for a software provider or internal IT teams.

You must have a proven track record of delivering a range of complex projects and outputs to deadlines whilst assuring quality and accuracy at all times.

Within the role you will be required to think laterally and creatively to diagnose the root cause of business problems and create imaginative solutions.

Experience of producing business intelligence reports using Microsoft Power BI would be desirable for this role.
