We are currently working with an IT support company looking for an IT Apprentice to join their company providing the supply and support of any IT, telephone or mobile device.
Their aim is to provide a professional yet personal service at a competitive price. From domestic PCs, TV and audio equipment to small business systems or fully integrated multi-site networks, the specialist team ensures their customers stay online any time.
The successful apprentice will gain industry recognised IT qualifications, as well as getting paid hands-on experience. You will provide day-to-day support to Customers and Support Engineer(s) in their duties.
The main duties will be to:
Liaise with suppliers to provide best quotes possible to customers
Build bespoke machines under instruction
Ensure all hardware warranty information is maintained
Book in Purchases onto System
Monitor workload and assist where possible
Hardware - build, resolve, install
Networking - maintain
Software (including bespoke)- Install, support
Admin - Maintain Customer Documentation, warranty info etc
Remote Support of Customer Computers / Resolve Issues
Successful applicants must:
·Have grade C/4 or above in English and maths GCSE (or equivalent), or Functional Skills Level 2
·Be able to attend our training Academy in Birmingham for training days
- Attention to detail and unwillingness to give in to an issue
- Ability to work alone from time to time - self motivation
- Good Time management
Applicants should have a desire to develop and enhance their IT skills whilst working in a supportive company. This role is ideal for anybody who has a genuine passion for working within an IT environment and that is keen to learn and progress in their own professional development. The successful applicant will be a positive and enthusiastic individual.
Career Progression after Level 3 - This can lead on to:
- Possible permanent position with this employer upon completion of the apprenticeship
Training to be provided:
·Level 3 Digital Industries Advanced Apprenticeship - Infrastructure: 12/13 months made up of short blocks of training at the Leaping Man Learning Academy in Central Birmingham, or online remote training, as well as on the job training in the workplace.
The apprentice will cover the following modules:
MTA Mobility & Devices
MTA Networking Fundamentals
MTA Server Administration
Coding and Logic
