Underwriting Strategy Manager
Salary Up to £70,000 depending on experience, plus benefits and 9% pension

You'll be using your specialist underwriting and industry knowledge to motivate changes in our ability to underwrite new and emerging risks. Your specialist technical and analytical skills will also be put to good use in supporting our Tribes in the delivery of their performance targets. You'll create and maintain market leading policy wordings balancing good business and customer outcomes.
Your focus is to drive developments in Underwriting risk including changes to rules, rating, fraud prevention measure, data sources and question sets. Your experiences and expertise of the market, industry, legal and regulatory developments that impact Underwriting will help build solutions for DLG. Delivery of experienced technical underwriting guidance and inputs will enable your Tribes and Squads to deliver key mission as well as develop underwriting competency across the team.
You'll provide expert underwriting input to enable complex risk acceptance decisions and the delegation and audit of underwriting authority.
You'll support the development of technical underwriting competency across the Pricing and Underwriting Chapter.Skills/qualifications/experience
- Detailed understanding of regulatory bodies and legislation and their impact on the business
- Strong understanding of insurance principles, practices and risk perception
- Knowledge of the differences in risk
- Understanding of pricing methodology
