A primary school in Salford, are looking to recruit a year 6 teaching assistant in November and would be to go on for the rest of the academic year. As a year 6 teaching assistant, you would be working with small groups of children in to support them with booster interventions to get them to expected level after such a long gap out of education for many. As a result, there would be a big focus on Maths, English and SPAG in particular. If you have experience supporting with Maths, English and SPAG within a primary school or secondary school previously, you would be welcomed to apply.
This primary school are also keen to hear from aspiring teachers of the future who might be looking for school based experience before completing teacher training. As a result, the incoming year 6 teaching assistant could be a graduate of English, Maths or equivalent.
The ideal candidate:
• Maths, English and SPAG in Year 6
• English and Maths Graduates
• Previous Intervention Experience as a Teaching Assistant
• Primary School or Secondary School Experience
• Team player with open attitude to learning
• £16,500 - £18,000 pro rata
