The role is responsible for developing, organising and managing the delivery of robust and reliable management information to the business. The role will maintain data standards and ensure consistency. Ensuring our client adhere to group IT standards and is responsible for co-ordinating with IT infrastructure to ensure continuity of service is maintained.
You will act as the businesses data architect ensuring we build on a solid platform delivering one version of the truth.
You will be responsible for the coaching and development of our Data analysts in the production of financial and operational management information and implement the most appropriate technical architecture and reporting tools into the business. You will ensure we have the correct platform and tools to share data, analysis and insight with colleagues
What to expect:
Ensure compliance with Group IT standards
Develop, implement and support appropriate technical architecture to share data, analysis and insight with colleagues. To include the development of automated dashboards on an appropriate technological platform
To own the data quality and ensure all MI is robust and accurate. This includes supporting and maintaining existing reports as necessary
Ensure that appropriate quality controls and in place with reliable testing and sign off procedures
Ensure appropriate documentation is maintained for all developments
Coach, develop and train junior staff
To perform any other ad hoc duties as required by the role
What we are looking for:
SQL or relational database concepts essential.
Microsoft Power BI desirable or experience with other reporting and analytical packages (e.g Tableau)
Good analytical and numeracy skills
Proven experience with stored procedures and SQL queries
Extensive previous management information experience
Ability to run and lead on multiple, concurrent MI projects
Data warehouse experience desirable
Project management experience desirable
Microsoft Excel essential
