Austin Friars Financial is a city-based mortgage and protection business which has grown in each of our six years of trading since our establishment in 2014. We specialise in advising whole-of-market solutions to our clients who range in profile from small and basic to large and complex. Currently a five-person team, we work closely together in our advisory and support roles.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

As a Mortgage and Protection Administrator, you will work as an integral part of the support team at Austin Friars Financial. This will mean liaising between the Support Manager, Mortgage Advisers, Mortgage Lenders, Solicitors, Insurance Providers, our clients and all other parties involved during the mortgage and protection processes, including to ensure that each mortgage and protection policy is converted from an application to completion.

Daily, we will look to you to manage our pipeline of ongoing applications. This will involve spending a large amount of time on the telephone speaking with lenders/insurers and updating on the status of existing applications as well as actively speeding the process along. You will ensure our clients receive exceptional service throughout the process and are kept up to date.

Your role will also include responsibility for the administrative elements of the process including keeping the paperwork up to date, sending correspondence, updating our internal systems, and adhering to our internal and external compliance processes and regulations.

The person we are looking for will be:

A recent graduate (2:2 minimum degree)
A confident person with communication skills of the highest standard encompassing listening, written, telephone and face to face client interaction
Eager to learn
Highly attentive to detail
Happy to work in a team, a great sense of humour is required.
Level-headed and able to prioritise the workload and work to deadlines
Comfortable with IT and with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and associated software
Happy to work from home initially with a view to reopening the London office in the future. Continuation of remote working possible subject to individual agreement.
