Manchester Film School (MFS) is one of the largest departments within UCEN Manchester which is the Higher Education part of The Manchester College. Students from MFS have won 9 RTS student awards in the last eight years and two National Learning On Screen awards.

We now have an exciting opportunity to join us as a TV & Film Tutor on a permanent, full time (37 hours per week) basis.
As Film & TV production Tutor you will have a specialism in the area of Digital Post Production or Production Management and a proven track record of delivering projects on time. You will teach a wide range of students from Levels 4,5 & 6 and supervise projects through to delivery and distribution. You will be designated a group of 1st year students with accompanying tutorial responsibility and a brief to liaise with other staff within MFS. This is an intensely practical role suited to someone with an established track record. Good industry links are an essential feature of the Film School.
You will also provide supervision of your curriculum area, ensuring that you meet budget, quality and operational targets. You will deliver high quality, learner-focused education providing a secure and friendly environment in order for your students to succeed. In your role you will plan, lead and develop the curriculum area within the establishment to ensure compliance with the national curriculum framework, the integration of functional skills, best practice and quality targets.
In order to do this, you should have:
A teaching / assessing (as appropriate) qualification and subject-specialist qualification at Level 4 (Level 5 - new standards) with a commitment to obtain the relevant outstanding Level 4 (Level 5 - new standards) qualification within a specified time scale.
English and Maths - must be qualified to a minimum of Level 2.
A demonstrable track record of effective teaching and delivering in the subject specialism.
