THE COMPANY: My client is one of the largest community- based regeneration organisations in Sheffield with an annual turnover of £500,000 and employing circa 20 staff and Brewster Partners are pleased to be supporting them in their search for an exceptional CEO to take the organisation through a steadying period for the next 12 months and possibly beyond.
THE JOB: As CEO you will lead the organisation through community-led well-being initiatives and re-establish relationships with funders and other stakeholders ensuring the future financial sustainability of the organisation.
You will shape the future of the organisation by working with the Trustees and the staff team to explore new ways of working and promote an open culture by reinvigorating the staff team and volunteers to deliver exceptional services that supports the community and the strategic aims of the organisation.
You lead the organisation by setting a culture of trust and openness as well as improving and implementing new policies and practices in order to achieve the organisations purpose, aims and objectives to take the organisation forward with a renewed confidence.
THE PERSON: This is an exciting proposition for someone that is looking to make a real difference to an organisation that supports the local community. You will need to be an exceptional 'People Manager' with the ability to converse at all levels internally and externally as well as have the ability to be strategic and report to the board.
The organisation has a staff team of circa 20 and a large number of volunteers therefore you will need experience of working and engaging with volunteers and be able to demonstrate a can do attitude with an open door policy to build the trust of the exiting staff team.
This role is pivotal in the organisation and you will work with the board to set clear strategic aims and objectives and ensure the financial sustainability of the organisation therefore you will need to be able to demonstrate that you can secure funding through bid and tender writing and be the face of the organisation.
You will need to be financially savvy with the ability to set and monitor budgets and provide financial stability to the organisation.
