A large housing association are recruiting for a Management Accountant to provide a full management accounting service to support the achievement of effective financial control and improve current and future financial performance. The role is based in Exeter but will be home working,
The focus of this role is to undertake analysis and costing evaluation of systems and processes.
Your main responsibilities within this role will include:
*Ensure the best use is made of specialist applications, the finance system and spreadsheets to deliver an efficient and effective service to internal and external customers.
*Ensure all reconciliations and related financial controls are completed in a timely manner; review and authorise those prepared by team members.
*In conjunction with budget holders contribute to the budget setting cycle to assist them in identifying and achieving value for money and efficiency savings.
*Work with managers to develop reporting and performance indicators to monitor performance and make improvements.
*Analyse and investigate variances from budget producing reports to assist management control.
*Develop financial models to assist in evaluating business decisions/processes.
*Provide support on projects to deliver continuous improvement in the delivery of financial and management accounting
To be considered for this role, it is essential that you are an experienced management accountant who is CCAB/CIMA qualified, or be working towards this, and have strong knowledge of Oracle. You will also need the following skills and experience:
This is a full time position, working 35 hours (9-5, Mon to Fri) on a 3-6 month contract. The role is working on a specific project, which is projected to end around February 2021. The client is working from home until the new year at least, so can consider applications regardless of location.
