Care Assistant Team Leader

Full time Days Available

We are looking for an experienced Care Assistant Team Leader to support and supervise care staff in accordance with Amegreen's dedication towards ensuring the highest quality of care is provided. The role will be to empower and support client needs whilst also proving team leadership, managing day to day challenges and to oversee the delivery of care. A role at Amegreen allows the opportunity to develop and utilise valuable skills and competencies in the healthcare industry. We provide specialist in-house and field-based training, whilst supporting a large client-base with a vast range of medical conditions; including:
  • Tracheostomy care
  • Motor Neurone Disease
  • PEG feed
  • NG or naso-gastric feeding
  • Spinal injuries
  • Epilepsy & seizure management
  • Muscular Dystrophy/ Muscular Sclerosis
  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Acquired Brain Injuries and other Neurological Conditions

Team Leader Responsibilities:
  • To oversee the care delivery in accordance with agreed standards, ensuring that highest quality of care is provided
  • To provide leadership and supervise the care team
  • To support and liaise with the care manager/co-ordinator to ensure continuity of care
  • Assist in the formulation and updating of care plans and risk assessments
  • To create, manage and update clients rotas to promote safe delivery of care
  • Manage day to day issues whilst promoting a safe environment to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all staff and the client
  • To provide Care in accordance with current best practices, according to policy and procedures

An ideal Team Leader will have:
  • Previous experience of complex care with both vulnerable adults and/or children
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Committed to providing the best possible care for the client
  • UK valid driving licence with access to own vehicle and willingness to travel up to different client locations
  • Diploma/QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care minimum (level 3 preferred)
  • Strong literacy and numeracy - must be able to complete accurate and compliant records in relation to care delivery and medication administration
  • Female only - required
