We are currently looking to recruit an Electrical Maintenance Engineer at our Broomfleet Factory in Brough.
As a member of the maintenance team, this role will involve all aspects of trouble shooting and problem solving across the site. You will be required to look for and implement continuous improvements individually and as part of a team. In addition, you will plan and carry out preventative maintenance in order to ensure a high standard of plant maintenance is achieved at all times. You will ensure safe working at all times, with a right first time every time by everyone attitude to produce a cost effective, quality product whilst adhering to the Company's policies and procedures. You will be an adaptable, flexible and proactive individual who is comfortable working under your own initiative and as part of an engineering team. Broomfleet is a highly automated site so we are looking for candidates who have the relevant experience.
·Install / maintain all electrical and electro-mechanical plant or machinery in line with Company requirements
·Operate a preventative electrical maintenance system to ensure that the plant & machinery is in good working order
·Fault find and repair any electrical or electro-mechanical related problems on the plant or equipment
·Program and fault find on Schneider and Siemens PLC equipment
·Use various types of testing equipment in order to locate and remedy faults in the shortest possible time
·Ensure that all plant and machinery is kept in a good working and clean condition, attending to breakdowns and carrying out planned maintenance as required
·Assist with the installation of new plant equipment
·Project work including safety upgrades, machinery installation and upgrades, plc and hmi upgrades
·Order spares and electrical materials for new and existing plant in keeping with the required standards
·Maintain and monitor the machines and equipment to enable them to achieve their budgeted outputs at the required quality levels
·Promote Lean thinking and actively look for ways to improve your efficiency
·Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and procedures
Skills & Experience:
·Candidates must possess an NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification to be considered for this position
·Apprentice trained with relevant electrical engineering qualifications (preferably to ONC level / HNC is desirable)
·Experience of working in manufacturing environment
·Programming and fault finding on PLC controlled systems & HMI displays
·Sound knowledge & experience of fault finding & repair on 3 phase systems
·Installation, setup and fault finding on variable speed drives
·Ability to test single & 3 phase motors
·Knowledge of IEE Regulations, PAT testing and Lean Manufacturing
·Analytical & problem-solving skills
·Knowledge of basic PLC programme changes
·Proven experience of working in fully automated electrical control systems, incorporating PLC's, HMI's, variable speed drives, motor controls, hydraulics and pneumatics
·Proven fault-finding techniques
·Good communication skills, both written and verbal
·Willing to learn new skills
·Understand the basics of modern functional safety systems and display a positive approach to Health and Safety and its controls and procedures
·Must be self-motivated, have good communication skills and able to work with a minimum of supervision
Hours of Work: 7.00am to 7.00pm (2 days) / 7.00pm to 7.00am (2 nights) / 4 days off???????
