SEN Teaching Assistant Job / ASD, ADHD, Challenging Behaviour / Intervention Support | Oval Primary School

About the Role:

We are currently supporting an 'Good' Ofsted rated Primary School based in Oval to recruit for 2 strong SEN Teaching Assistants. You will be required to work with pupils in the schools' specialist SEN base across different years groups with Autism, ADHD and Challenging Behaviour. This is a fantastic opportunity for professional development within a welcoming school.


The successful candidate should:

Support pupils in the SEN base from EY - Year 6 (EY, KS1, KS2)Plan and deliver interactive 1:1 sessions in Phonics, Literacy and NumeracyAble to observe and write evaluation reports based on the 1:1 sessions of progress to parents and head teacherAble to tailor specialist Speech & Language, Academic, Phonics interventions to SEN learners needsCreative, confident, professional personalityKnowledge of PECs, Makaton, Visual Timetable - DesirablePrevious experience working with SEN pupils - EssentialConfident working with EHCP'sBe able to support the class teacher, SENCO, and liaise with parentsBe a patient and positive role model for pupils
