Key responsibilities of this role include:

- Implementing the PR and communications strategies

- Working across all practice areas by supporting and understanding the needs of each department

- Writing, managing and developing content or the social media platforms, inc. LinkedIn, Website and Twitter

- Creating news leads and drafting press releases about both the firm and client developments

- Identifying feature and comment opportunities, focusing on the firm's specialisms and expertise

- Building new relationships with local, trade and national journalists

- Initiating and supporting other profile raising activities

- Writing website copy, blogs and other documents

- Proofreading

- Assist with the Client Quarterly Newsletter and developing the internal newsletter

- Assist with general research for corporate company reports

- Looking out for comment opportunities for clients

- Assist with event organising and publicity

- Liaising with clients

- Monitoring effectiveness of websites through understanding of SEO

- Supporting the development of internal firm wide communications

- Managing all in-bound media enquiries

- Ad hoc support for the wider business, its clients and its departments


In order to be considered you must have demonstrable experience of the following:

- Strong in-house or agency PR and comms experience

- Strong A-levels

- Degree educated [i.e. 2:1 or better, ideally from a top 20 university]

- A proactive, confident and friendly manner. Good communication skills are a must

- Strong IT skills (Good working knowledge of Word, Excel and other Microsoft software applications such as publisher and experience with other tools like WordPress and Hootsuite would be a bonus)

- Sound time management and prioritisation skills

- Good knowledge of current affairs

- Working knowledge of social media in the B2B context

- Knowledge of newsletter publication software e.g. Mailchimp and database management

- Ideally experience working within a professional services firm

£25-27k +benefits
