Wellington College is one of the world's leading co-educational boarding and day schools and has an enviable reputation for excellence and innovation. We're looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our highly successful Chemistry Department as a Technician.

Your main focus will be on assisting in the smooth running of the Chemistry department. Preparing equipment for lessons, assisting with the day-to-day servicing of our laboratories/workshop, carrying out routine equipment maintenance and helping to design, develop and maintain specialist resources - all are aspects of a role that will give you invaluable classroom experience.

To succeed, you'll need 3 'A' Levels and 5+ GCSE A*-C, (English and Maths essential) or equivalent. A Science degree or similar post AL industry qualification is also preferred, while experience of working in a laboratory secondary science department would be useful. A technical appreciation of the laboratory setting as a workplace is a definite plus too, with basic PC skills such as email, Word and data entry, is also required. Comfortable interacting with colleagues to gather or provide information to complete tasks, you're also good at making decisions or judgments covering routine situations. And, if a problem is beyond your scope, you're quick to seek advice or resolution from a manager/supervisor.

So, if you are committed to boarding school life, have a sharp and progressive vision of the subject and are keen to continue to develop professionally, apply today.
