The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Full UK drivers license and vehicle, at least 3 months relevant classroom experience or transferable experience working with individuals with SEND

Vision for Education are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant, who has the enthusiasm and determination to motivate and support pupils, within an alternative provision. It is a great opportunity to gain more experience within an extremely rewarding and unique environment.
Working as part of a dynamic and creative team, you will work closely with the provisions tutors to deliver the best possible education and support for the students. You will be working with students with additional support needs on a 1:1 basis and will be required to plan and deliver functional skills sessions.
This would be great experience for someone who is considering a career path in teaching and would like to build on your current experience.
Ideally we're looking for Teaching Assistants who have experience working or volunteering within a similar setting and have had exposure to behavioural support and/or SEND role. You will have the confidence to promote learning in challenging environments and engage with vulnerable individuals.
This school specialises in the education of students who find it difficult to cope in a conventional mainstream class setting. The centre puts a strong focus on vocational education and inclusion is at the forefront of everything their values, this is something that the successful candidate will be expected to embrace also.
To be considered for the position of teaching assistant you will:
Have a full UK driving license and a vehicle with business insurance
Have experience supporting children with learning needs and behaviours that challenge
Be available from ASAP on a full time basis
Happy to commit to a permanent role
Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team, have a nurturing and caring nature
