Role: Corporate Tax ManagerSalary: £45,000 - £60,000Location: BirminghamOverview:Quinton Davies are working on behalf of a Top 50 accountancy practice based in Birmingham who are looking to strengthen their team with the addition of a Corporate Tax Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly rated international accountancy firm. The role offers a mix of compliance and advisory work for a range of corporate clients from OMBs and SMEs through to larger corporate FTSE 250 organisations.Main Duties and responsibilities:•Be a focal point of contact on an exciting portfolio and respond quickly to clients.•Liaise with clients throughout the year and practise the principles of excellent client service always.•To identify and advise on tax planning opportunities.•Undertake specialist technical assignments as and when required.•To manage assignments in accordance with the firm's standard procedures and confirm arrangements with the client, including likely costs and billing arrangements.•To research and prepare proposals for new work, and to take part in formal presentations to prospective clients.•To ensure that appropriate liaison takes place with all other departments, and that all potential client needs are identified and serviced accordingly.•To develop a detailed knowledge of the firm's specialist services and to undertake special work in response to client needs where appropriate.•To brief junior staff on the client's business and the pre-assignment instructions, to supervise and control the completion of work, and to undertake 'on the job' training and appraisals where necessary.•To ensure that the clients' tax affairs comply with statutory requirements and manage compliance work team efficiently.Experience & Qualifications Required:•CTA / ATII qualified or equivalent, along with a prior tax or accounting qualification such as CA, ACCA or ATT.•Proven tax experience in producing high quality work.•Tax experience from a practice background is an absolute must.Thanks for considering an application.
