We are now recruiting for Multi Skilled Engineers on a full time permanent basis at our Melton Mowbray and Ashby de la Zouch sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Production and Operations functions in a busy client focussed manufacturing environment
  • Provide engineering solutions, improvements and assistance during production
  • Monitor all machines and ancillary plant, identify and resolve potential issues
  • Carry out planned maintenance, fault finding and repairs in the production departments
  • Monitor and analyse production down time and implement engineering solutions
  • Perform machine change overs and set ups
  • Move and re-installing of machinery when needed
  • Complete machinery service and maintenance records
  • Liaise with external contractors
  • Maintain effective working relationships with all departments
  • Mentor and train apprentice and operational colleagues
  • Be an active member of site improvement projects

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Time served and qualified Multi-skilled engineer with an electrical bias
  • Recognised engineering qualifications e.g. 17th / 18th Edition, HNC, HND
  • Previous experience in food co-packing/production environment
  • Demonstrable track record in a multi-skilled engineering position
  • Knowledge of repairing, optimising and improving mechanised production lines
  • Working of knowledge of flow wrappers, vertical baggers, mechanical weighheads & fillers, carton erectors, gluing systems, checkweighers, metal detectors, controls and PLC's
  • Ability to work independently and proactively, using own initiative to solve problems and prioritise workload
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • A flexible approach to working hours with the ability to do additional hours as and when required to meet business needs
  • Computer literate
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
