Do positions in big companies that encourage "entrepreneurial flare" actually exist? Thought the Business Partner roles in the big companies are just a load of month end drudgery dressed up with a sexy title to draw you in? Not here.
This is the nirvana role in this finance team. You will work in a successful division of this fast paced business , being the trusted finance co-pilot in a company segment that representations over 30% of the divisions volume.
You will partner closely with Account Managers, Account Directors and the broader commercial team to ultimately help them deliver sales and contracts that make sense. What leads to something making sense - Profitability, something that is priced correctly and aligned closely to key competitors. Negotiating and agreeing contractual terms that add up - for both the customer and the company. Value add reports that give great visibility - weekly / monthly KPI's and accurate performance reporting.
If you have read this far, you already know what's involved. You will already have a depth of experience in sales analysis / pricing / margins / costing. Ideally you will have already spent a good chuck of time partnering with non-finance and be looking to move that on.
This is right for you if you are excited at the prospect of being emerged in a broad stakeholder group. You will like constructive challenge, you will be happy to put yourself out there and not shy away from making decisions. You will be happy to take a few knocks here and there, and likely dish out a few as well! The fun and reward you will have along the way here will be immense.
