OA Executive is excited to be working in partnership with a growing organisation who have a global reach and are continuing to grow in the current market. They are looking to recruit a Product Manager to join their product development team to help champion product lines by developing, implementing and managing activities to provide optimum sales and profits.
This is a busy and varied role which will see you partner with various stakeholders and departments across the business to ensure you are able to manage the product life cycle effectively.
Define market opportunities, determined by an analytical assessment
Translate market need into a product specific criteria and support the product development and commercialization process with various product management tactics
Develop, drive, and implement individual product plans and strategy
Direct ongoing analysis and lead the pricing and discounting strategy to provide greatest financial performance
Accountable for product data accuracy and relevance across the business systems. Initiate and manage workflows for changes to relevant product data systems
Create necessary product sales support, training and technical product information including product feature summaries, competitive evaluations and pricing comparisons
Define analytical tools and research, forming insight and observations to provide insight for decision making
Own the effort to resolve quality issues, evaluate and drive changes that affect P&L
Manage the product life cycle of the product lines from identification, introduction, through growth and maturity, to decline and discontinuation and provides input on product simplification/discontinuation for product lines
Define and observe research, forming insights and observations. Conduct some research with customers, users and other stakeholders
Participate in and support new product exploration data inputs for an assigned product. Support Product Development projects providing insight and direction on customer needs, pricing strategy and product criteria
Work in close collaboration with marketing and sales colleagues throughout the business to define and implement new product launches and market launch activation plans
The ideal candidate for this opportunity will have a proven background within product management and will have a sound understanding of the best practices and processes. You will understand the sales process with customer and field interaction and will understand how to develop effective product strategy for one or more products.
Ideally you will have a full understanding of operations, production, supply management, full value stream and will have excellent communication skills to compliment your ability to partner with the Design and Sales teams within the organisation. You will be naturally analytical, possess excellent problem-solving skills and will have the ability to wok under pressure.
Finally, you will ideally be degree educated and will have a good understanding of how product management impacts the financial positioning of the product line.
