Salary & Benefits: Salary Range £23,741 - £29,676 per annum dependent on experience. Benefits include company pension, 25 days annual leave and guaranteed one-off pro-rata'd bonus for remaining financial year

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Cost Recovery Analyst to join the Developer Services Team

You will be working 37 hours per week based in Bradford, currently homeworking at present.

What will the role involve?

Developer Services works with commercial developers and customers to ensure any new developments have the correct water and wastewater plans in place. As Cost Recovery Analyst you will be focused on cost recovery of costs incurred for wholesale services provided to facilitate housing and commercial development and recovery of costs following damage to YW assets. You will interpret, analyse and report on key data to enable effective cost recovery.

You will gather information relating to Yorkshire Water's rechargeable works/damages following damage to any of Yorkshire Water's assets, this involves gathering accurate information from internal/external customers/partners to be able to bill accordingly. You will work closely with the Water Asset teams, Customer Account Manager, Debt Recovery, Legal and Loop in processing any payments and interpreting the technical details of damage caused to assets and being able to communicate this to third parties.

You will conduct investigations to improve the quality of customer service, meter and property data to ensure effective cost recovery. You will also be responsible for the investigation of missing meters and associated recovery plan, root cause analysis of cost failures and subsequent reporting and analysis on all aspects of cost recovery in Developer Services including Damages and Third-party Recovery.

You will build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, including our Service Partners, Field Operations, Asset Solutions, Finance, Customer Account Manager, Debt Recovery, Legal, Loop and Developer Services customers.

What skills are we looking for?

The successful candidate will be highly organised, methodical and have a strong attention to detail. You will have previous experience of processing and interpreting complex data. You will be able to interpret, analyse and report on financial information.

You will have excellent communication skills and be able to build up effective working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

You will be able to influence and negotiate effectively.

Ideally, you will have an understanding of the water industry or have experience of regulatory compliance from another industry.

You will have excellent IT skills particularly in excel and be comfortable learning new systems/processes.

You will be comfortable working with others in a team environment whilst also working on your own initiative with regards managing workload and priorities.
