This public sector client are based in Reading but offer an exceptionally flexible approach to office work. They support a number of UK organisations by providing OJEU compliant contracts that can be utilised by these external organisations.
We are looking for an additional Category Manager to join the team and strategically manage approximately £100 million of spend across the IT category. Upcoming areas of focus include video conferencing and technology which enables innovative and effective remote working.
As Category Manager of ICT you will be:
Collaborate widely to providing the strategic direction of the category
Provide professional support, advice and guidance to clients
Identifying market trends to assist with ongoing contract management and category strategy development.
Develop and manage category strategies and a range of framework agreements which provide maximum value for money
Manage relationships with strategic suppliers which deliver value and innovation
Attend events and meetings and across the wider community
Consult with stakeholders and review and modify strategies/plans in line with stakeholder feedback.
Instigate and lead strategy review meetings
Prepare and present category reports to stakeholders.
Gather and analyse management information from a range of sources.
Develop full tender documentation and manage the tendering process in accordance with Public contracting regulations.
Manage framework agreements with suppliers to ensure that they continue to deliver maximum value for money and meet agreed key performance indicators (KPIs).
Research assigned category areas identifying market trends to assist with ongoing contract management and category strategy development.
