Hays have been retained exclusively by Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Services, (NIFRS), to conduct a recruitment campaign to provide a Financial Business Partner to join their Finance team based in Lisburn. In joining the NIFRS you will be joining an organisation which focuses on putting the community first. The NIFRS respond to fires, road traffic collisions and specialist rescue incidents including flooding, chemical incidents, collapsed buildings and other types of emergencies. As well as this they prioritise the learning and development of their teams.
Your new role
As a Financial Business Partner for NIFRS you will play a key role in the overall financial management of the organisation and ensure financial regularity by providing a Financial Business Partnering service to the operational business. You will deliver a complete financial management service to senior management within NIFRS and play a key role in the overall financial management of the organisation ensuring financial regularity, compliance and value-for-money within a framework of excellent customer service and continuous improvement.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified accountant with over 2 years post qualification experience. You will have presented and advised senior managers on complex financial information. The successful candidate will have strong financial management skills managing the budgets, providing business planning to help deliver the strategic priorities and you will have excellent communication skills with the ability to work across a diverse workforce to drive continuous improvement.
What you'll get in return
The NIFRS will offer the successful candidate a flexible working hours scheme that fits the business requirement. The salary range for the role will be £37849 to £40760 per annum. Your working hours will be 9am until 5pm. You will also be eligible to join the NI Local Government Superannuation Pension Scheme.
