We currently have a vacancy for a Team Leader within our Family Liaison Team. The Team are responsible for case holding women with ongoing child protection concerns during pregnancy, the role of the team leader is to lead and manage the team members to enable, co ordinate, develop and implement safe child protection and well being systems within in NHS Fife Maternity Services.
You will be responsible for coordinating the Family Liaison Team and to provide effective leadership for the team. The team leader will be required to take an active role in the delivery of Child Protection supervision programmes in line with local and national guidance. You will be required to work in partnership with multi disciplinary teams to ensure delivery of child focussed outcomes. To also offer advice and support to individual cases and promote evidence based practice in child protection to ensure that child protection health services are delivered effectively, efficiently and safely within NHS Fife. You will also be required to work closely with our existing Drug Liaison Team.
You must be a NMC Registered Midwife, educated to degree level. In addition you should possess excellent communication skills. You will also be required to travel throughout Fife.
Our Maternity unit is modern and progressive with approximately 3200 births per year. The services include outpatient and community services, a complex care Consultant Unit and an alongside Midwife Led Unit. We are developing services in line with Best Start recommendations and are focussing on increasing our rates of continuity of carer in the first instance. We have developed a birth at home team and already have teams established for vulnerable in pregnancy, fetal medicine, smoking cessation and child protection.
We will encourage you with your professional development via our dedicated clinical midwife educator and midwifery PEF. We have an extremely successful in house leadership programme and regularly encourage staff to participate in external networking.
