Where and who will I be working with?

Finance at THG is a rapidly growing and evolving team, covering all areas of finance from central functions such as accounts receivable and payable, treasury, tax and internal audit, to specific commercial teams for each of our divisions; Beauty, Tech, Consumer, Health and Brands. As the business expands and takes on new challenges in the form of acquired businesses or new ventures, finance is there to support every step of the way, leading to dynamic and challenging roles - no two days are the same! About you

This is a high-pressured role where you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders in relation to their credit. To keep up with the pace of this role you must be able to use your own initiative at a high level and pay close attention to detail. Excel will form a large part of your role so you must have strong excel skills along with other software packages.

The Role

The primary function of the Credit team is coordinating the debts of existing creditors and deciding whether to allow credit to a debtor - ultimately managing all money borrowed or owed to your business. It is also the responsibility of the Credit team to manage debt recovery, which if a client has paid late or missed payments could involve stopping the supply of goods and services or undertaking legal action, at worst dealing with bankrupt businesses to negotiate recovery of funds.

It is vital that the Credit function builds and maintains close links with all customers, to ensure smooth running of accounts and encourage timely recovery of payments. Other key responsibilities are:

·Checking customer's credit ratings with banks

·Setting up the terms and conditions of a loan

·Timely and effective collection of all debts and customers payments

·Negotiating re-payment plans

·Maintaining contact with clients to ensure invoices are clear for payment

·Resolving queries both internally and externally around outstanding invoices

·Posting and allocating daily receipts to accounting systems

·Providing accounts information to internal departments
