About the role

Joining the Business Analysis team as a Business Data Analyst, you will be key to ensuring our clients' data needs are met in an accurate and prompt manner as well as being a key member of internal product teams to aid with data lead decision making. You will be performing a key client facing role dealing with the data needs of the wider Group whilst having an understanding for the policies and procedures of the company when it comes to protecting our data.

There will also be opportunities to develop your career path within the BA team moving towards either Business or Technical analysis.

What you will bring:
  • 2+ Years' experience meeting client's data and reporting requirements in an insurance or financial services environment
  • A customer centric approach to problem solving and data requests
  • Demonstrable SQL skills to query complex data
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • The ability to challenge and question when needed
  • An interest in software product development and how data is used in that process
  • An understanding of how broking operates
  • An entrepreneurial mind-set: a self-starter who can handle multiple priorities
  • A desire for knowledge and an aspiration to learn the intricacies of the insurance industry

Desirable extra skills and experience:
  • Experience of commonly used Broking applications such as Global, Sector
  • Knowledge of Microsoft business intelligence tools such as SSIS, SSAS and SSRS
  • An understanding of version control software such as git
  • Knowledge of dashboard/data visualisation tools such as QlikView, Power BI etc.
