Successful Service Provider established in the North West and based in Manchester require a results driven credit manager to join an established finance team

Reporting to the Finance Manager you will be solely responsible for managing a team of credit controllers in order to reduce debtors days.

Specific duties include:-
  • Responsible for the Credit Management Policy, and adopting an ethos of continuous improvement to mitigate risk and maximise cash collection
  • Provide training and updates to Credit Control Teams and Sales Teams on credit management polices/processes
  • Allocation and assessment of customer risk categorisation using industry standard methods
  • Monitoring of customers and recommending action to credit control team/sales teams
  • Management of and compliance with credit insurance policy
  • Review and improve end to end order to collection cycles
  • Business system owner for Credit Management Systems
  • Managing of new Customer Account Set up team and initial credit/fraud risk assessment
  • Maintain service relationship with Debt Recovery Service Provider(s) and periodical assessment of performance

The ideal candidate will have 5 years credit management experience in a business to business environment. You will also have a proven track record in managing teams who collect from challenging customers

You will also have excellent knowledge of all aspects of credit control, good reporting skills and the ability to drive and motivate an established credit control team.
