We are looking to recruit a number of Insurance Claims Handlers. The overall purpose of the role is to minimise claims spend against our Insurance Customers policy book. Providing a high standard of service to customers and third parties in relation to their claim, investigating liability, and arranging services for our customers/third parties involved in an incident.

Main Responsibilities:-

- handling fault and non fault accidental damage claims

- assessing liability and pursuing liability against the third party insurers

- recoverability of subrogated repair claims, obtaining liability admissions from TPI and maximising profitability for our insurance customers

- identifying, obtaining and collating evidence to defend claims

- making decisions as to whether indemnity is granted on a claim

- liaising with our insurers on claim and policy related queries

- Processing AD claims in line with the insurers claims process
  1. Role Specification:



Achieve successful Third-Party capture on fault claims, identify and action opportunities to provide other services to the Third Party relating to the claim for uninsured losses, and vehicle management requirements

Possess an understanding of RTA, Liability and Insurance motor claims processes

Have knowledge of the Insurance Market and the importance of reserving claims

Take First Notification of Loss calls, via telephone, email or weekly memo from Insurers, capturing the necessary information relating to the claim, ensuring a complete and accurate description of accident circumstances is taken including details of involved parties and other relevant details of the claim

Carry out desktop enquiries to investigate liability, inclusive of chasing CCTV, and witness statements

An understanding of Accident Management to provide the foundation for developing an understanding of the entire claims process relating to insurers.

Is regarded as competent or an expert in their given area of insurance

Excellent communication skills with ability to explain complex information simply. Representing the company in a professional manner in all dealings with both internal and external parties, while working in accordance with all of our policies and procedures.

Well organised and conscientious with ability to plan and monitor work tasks to proactively manage caseload to minimise claims spend

Strong decision maker with the confidence to act under own authority on behalf of the company

Computer literate using MS Office with good typing skills - to accurately enter client information into our database and record other information without error

Good attention to detail - to ensure that all claims documentation or correspondence produced is accurate

Able to make commercial decisions which achieve the desired result for the business

Enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with a desire to achieve

Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment working well under pressure

Excellent persuasive and influencing skills to provide a basis to present liability arguments and negotiate liability position and settle claims with Third Party Insurers

Ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team

Possesses confidence to make correct decisions with limited guidance and ensuring file issues/delays/technical queries are escalated to Insurance Solutions Manager

Holds or is willing to obtain professional insurance qualification (Cert CII or above)
