The Head Teacher of a specialist provision in Middlesbrough is searching for a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join their team.

The role will be supportin within Secondary classes catered to young people with Autism ranging from moderate to severe and encompassing sensory impairments, challenging behaviours and speech, language and communication needs. You will be required to support one class predominantly throughout the school day, enabling you to build relationships and adapt your supporting style to pupils individual needs. Experience working with Autism is mandatory, as is a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification. You must be able to evidence responding to challenging behaviour and be available for interview as soon as possible.

This will be held on a full time basis, commencing upon completion of vetting checks and will be held until the end of the academic term. Depending on school requirements and your performance there is potential for this to be extended. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
