Team Leader/ 3nd Line Support Analyst (Senior Service Desk Analyst) to work for a FTSE 250 organisation. Our customer is one of the largest British companies in the world and operates a major service partnership for a Central Government agency. Due to expanded growth within the partnership, our customer is now looking to build and recruit a new Service Desk function. The role will be based working from home, however, after lockdown there may be a need to be based out of office location between Liverpool / Manchester.
The nature of the role will be to perform a vital role delivering first and second line incident management support. You will be supporting a large pool of users and be responsible for monitoring core systems.Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and guidance for first line servicedesk analysts
- Responsible for day-to-day task allocation, team management, and performance management in the Servicedesk Manager's absence
- Run handover meetings at shift change, ensure that all live tasks are passed correctly
This is not a management role, but the post holder will need to supervise a small team of up to four first line analysts taking full responsibility for providing the IT service to the business out of hours.
Environment - technologies used to support and deliver the networks, data centres, devices, desktop services, messaging, unified communications, mobility services, information technology security, and IT management systems (e.g. identity and access management) required to deliver information technology services across the function.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced 3rd Line Support Analyst with strong experience of supporting end-users in the above areas. Potential candidates must be eligible to gain BPSS and SC Clearance. Previous, or current clearance is seen as highly desirable.
