My client is a fast-growing software company based in the Cambridge area . Due to growth they require a Product manager from a software background with strong exposure to SAAS , Digital and cloud .
The Product Manager (PM) leads and manages all my client's products and services from the inception to the phase-out in order to add economic results, create customer value and deliver measurable other business benefits. The PM owns the commercial product roadmap and is responsible for the entire value proposition of a product and service throughout its life-cycle.
The PM is the champion for the product and must communicate with all areas of the company. He or she will work with sales, marketing and support to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customers. The PM will also serve as the internal and external subject matter expert for product offerings, working with the sales channel and key clients.
The PM is responsible for all aspects of a product line including the coordination of activities across various departments. This extends from deepening the profitability and penetration of existing products to developing new products and services for my client.
The PM role at my clientdoesn't end after the product launch. They work with marketing and design teams to promote the product making sure it gets enough exposure in the market. They continuously monitor and analyse the product performance keeping in mind the key metrics including revenue, market share, margin, customer feedback. They're responsible for product upgrades and improvements depending on product performance and customer feedback. They can even make the decision to give up on the product and replace it with a new one.Experience
A Product Manager possesses a minimum of three years' experience in Product Management, ideally with a deep understanding of the software/SAAS industry.
The following experience is also beneficial:
- Computer-literate in Windows, Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
- Demonstrated success defining, launching, and maintaining excellent products.
- Knowledgeable on use of computer technology in the software/SAAS sector.
- Basic knowledge of web development platforms, databases and infrastructure.
- Corporate CRM experience a plus.
