Role Title: Senior Nursery Nurse
Location: Toybox Nursery - Deeside
Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time
Salary scale: £18,940 - £20,276 based on a salary assessment and experience

Here at Coleg Cambria we are looking for a Senior Nursery Nurse to join our team Toybox Nursery based at our Deeside site.

Overview of Role

The Toybox Nursery is our on-site nursery which provides full and part time places for the children of both staff and students of the college plus members of the local community. We offer good quality childcare, ensuring that both parents and children enter an environment that is warm and friendly, with care and education of the highest standard.

As Senior Nursery Nurse, you will assist with the long-term planning and provision of the creative, social and educational development of the children, appropriate to their age and needs. Covering for the Deputy Nursery Manager when required, you will assist with the day to day organisation, planning and preparation for meals, activities, rest time, cleaning and laundry whilst showing prospective customer parents around the nursery as and when necessary.

We're looking for an individual who is friendly, outgoing and resilient and who can cope with the demands of a busy operation.


Minimum of NVQ Level 4 in Childcare and Education alongside proven childcare experience. This must include working with children aged 2-3 years

Up to date knowledge of relevant legislation and quality standards

Ability to work well as part of a team

A drive for quality and high standards

An up to date First Aid Certificate, Basic Health and Safety Certificate and food hygiene certificate are highly desirable but not essential.
