Are you looking for a role that can offer development and travel? Our client is a rapidly expanding market leading provider of Information Security Solutions. Their continued growth means that they are currently looking to grow their existing team and recruit a Technical Operations Assistant / IT Assistant into their Swansea office with regular travel across Europe.

Our South Wales based client is looking for an ambitious, driven individual who has IT experience and loves to travel to join their rapidly growing business. The successful applicant will be responsible for a truly varied position.

This role would offer excellent exposure to troubleshooting and offering practical solutions whilst travelling across Europe with the organisation on a monthly basis.

  • Serve as on-site and remote technical POC at events predominantly
  • Act as technical liaison between event and venue IT staff
  • Troubleshoot venue network and/or internet issues that arise during events
  • Provide initial operational and security incident response at events, escalating as needed
  • Provide assistance and guidance to Moderators and Teaching Assistants (TA's) where necessary
  • Escalate issues that cannot be resolved within the first response Slack group to the Escalation
  • Compile daily reports of any issues encountered

The ideal candidate will:
  • Be able to travel around 60% of the time around the world (all trips fully expensed)
  • Have at least 1 year of hands on IT experience, installing and configuring computer equipment
  • Degree - Ideally in IT or something relative
  • Proficient in wired/wireless network concepts, hardware, cabling and best practices
  • Proficient in identifying and troubleshooting availability and performance issues in a live environment
