Job Description

·Accountant required for a small family office

·Can be part time or full time role

·Competitive salary on offer - dependent on candidate qualifications and experience

A small family office requires an accountant / finance assistant to work alongside the Finance Director on the internal and external reporting requirements of the various businesses being managed.

The key elements of the role are as follows:

·Control of the company bank accounts

·Accurate monthly P&L and balance sheet reporting

·Month end inventory reporting and analysis

·Carry out reviews, highlighting variances to plan, and forecasting outcomes.

·General assistance to the Finance Director

·Limited level of bookkeeping and processing of payments for BACS approval

·Supplier and customer transactions as well as purchase ledger and credit control duties

·Preparation of daily, weekly and monthly reports

·General administration and document management

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate for the role will have :

·Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, including Excel at intermediate level (e.g. Lookup, Sumif, Countif functions), internet applications, including online banking

·An accounting qualification or studying towards one or very strong QBE

·Prioritising work to meet multiple deadlines

·Ensuring that work is done in a timely way without compromising accuracy

·Ability to organise own workload, manage conflicting demands and prioritise tasks

·Ability to work with large volumes of data speedily and accurately

·Excellent telephone manner and strong interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communications skills

·Strong numerical and analytical abilities
