As a Registered Charge Nurse, you will lead and co-ordinate the quality and management of nursing care for women with mental health conditions.

With previous experience in a similar setting from the NHS or private care, you will be responsible for the clinical environment and managing the clinical services throughout the wards and units.

What you will be doing:

To be accountable for the safe and effective clinical and operational functioning of a defined unit.
To provide credible clinical leadership to a defined staff group
Act in a professional role manner clinical leader, a resource for staff, and supporting, guiding and supervising staff as required.
Develops and supports an environment which supports competent ethical nursing care.
Integrates team members with clear information and creates opportunities to influence work objectives, planning and organisation.
Develops and implements strategies to facilitate effective communication pathways.You will need:

Relevant experience as RMN/RNMH/RNLD
Professional training in a related environment
Recognised Mentorship certification
NVQ Assessor Qualification
Values based practice
Leadership skills
Administrative, planning and organisational skills
A knowledge of the organizational policies and procedures
Report writing

Where you will be working

Location: The Farndon Unit, Farndon Road, Newark, Nottinghamshire, NG24 4SW

You will be working at the Farndon Unit, a purpose-built low secure hospital which offers personalised assessment and recovery-based treatment pathways, including a trauma specific pathway, for women with complex care needs.

You will join the multidisciplinary team in providing specialist care for people with a diagnosis of severe and enduring mental illness and/or personality disorder and/or mild learning disability.

The combination of general low secure wards and a recovery ward area (also within the low secure perimeter) provide a seamless internal care pathway supporting and empowering recovery and rehabilitation.
