Following the postponement of UEFA EURO 2020 to the Summer of 2021, Glasgow was delighted to reconfirm its position as a Host City for this exciting event. The tournament will be played across 12 European cities - bringing the EURO closer to the fans and celebrating the best of European football and culture. Hampden Park will stage four matches and Glasgow, as the Host City, will offer an exciting programme of activity through out the duration of the tournament.
As the Assistant Fan Zone Manager you will work as part of the Host City Project Team to deliver the Fan Zones in Glasgow for UEFA EURO 2020. The Assistant Fan Zone Manager will fulfil a vital role in the UEFA EURO 2020 Fan Zones. You will perform the role of Fan Zone Project Manager for planning and delivery, take responsibility for the management of the agreed budgets, line manage members of the Fan Zone team and support the Fan Zone Manager and Host City Project Manager in the creation of Governance Agreements, Key Performance Indicators and Organising Structures for the Fan Zones, monitoring and developing these throughout the project's duration.
The post holder will also work with the Safety and Security Manager to produce all safety plans, method statements and risk assessments to ensure the safe planning and delivery of events. In addiiton you will work within a multi-agency planning and delivery structure, performing the role of chair at meetings, and represent the company on Groups/Forums as appropriate.
This is a fixed term opportunity up to 30 July 2021.
