There are five divisions of the Tildenet Group offering services to the Garden Retail, Horticulture, Sport, Industrial, and Fencing industries.
The Product Merchandiser will work across all areas of the business and oversee the whole lifecycle of a product ensuring that quality and cost efficiency are maintained at all stages of the process and that products are competitively placed within the marketplace.
In this role you will:
•Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth
•Drive product launches including working with PR team, marketing, purchasing and sales teams
•Proactively managing product lifecycle from introduction to maturity to support revenue objectives of new and existing products
•Assess market fit and commercial viability of existing and new product ranges
•Project managing cross-functional teams to deliver agreed products
•Ensuring each product has optimum specification and is presented and packed appropriately
•Evaluate branding, packaging and promotional plans to ensure that they are consistent with strategy and that the message is effectively conveyed
•Work with stakeholders across internal and external functions to maximise the delivery and performance of each product
•Manage and ensure the best possible customer journey for each product at all stages of post-launch life-cycle
•Perform market assessment and working in conjunction with the Sales team to develop a strategy for the defined product ranges
•Identify new product opportunities, exploring the competitive market and developing the positioning of the product
•Determine current and relevant market needs and working with the marketing team and outside agencies to ensure marketability of new products
•Plan specific launch programmes and market entry including scheduling project timelines, and tracking project deliverables using appropriate tools
•Act as a product controller to build awareness and understanding within the business and create detailed reference material for other teams on each product
•Successful track record in a similar role within an FMCG related environment
•Experience of managing process improvement working with multiple stakeholders within a manufacturing operation
•Excellent organisational and planning ability
•Good technical and creative understanding preferably with strong CAD/Design skills
•Good communication skills with the ability to liaise with cross functional staff at all levels
•Strong ability to research and evaluate internal and external information, analyse complex data, report and make recommendations
