Sales have been growing at a fast rate with the help of Brompton Junction retail stores in London, Barcelona, Munich, Beijing, Milan, Hamburg, Shanghai, Chengdu, Amsterdam, Tokyo and Kobe and we don't plan on stopping there.

Part of this expansion and growth will be driven by an increase in automation and development of machinery, tooling and equipment. The role will be heavily involved in protecting site infrastructure and production capacity to enable this growth, leading a team of facilities and equipment maintenance staff to deliver excellent service with a professional service lead approach. Working with the Department Leads, Manufacturing Engineers and maintenance team, you will define and develop safety, quality and reliability protocols, as well liaise with 3rd party specialists as and when required, to ensure services are provided.

As a facilities, maintenance and equipment specialist you will also be involved in developing plans and designs for new production machinery and systems, to assure reliability and servicing ease.

Main duties
  • Monitor condition of facilities, and ensure tactical and long-term projects are delivered to maintain a desirable working environment.
  • Oversee contracts that manage cleaning services, waste, streams and grounds maintenance.
  • Manage the Facilities and Maintenance team, recruitment training and development, and annual appraisals
  • Develop external service support network, underpinned by robust commercials to reinforce and augment team capabilities.
  • Devise and develop processes and plans, to meet KPIs including MTBF, MTTR, OEE, TAT, employee satisfaction, and report out of effectivity
  • Oversee installation, commissioning and decommissioning of equipment
  • Point of contact for maintenance, inspection and repair contractors working on BBL sites
  • Own Facilities and maintenance budgets through budget planning and cost justifications. Incorporating best practices to manage and reduce costs.
  • Support investigations, 8D, S&OP processes, A3 projects etc

Additional duties:


  • Produce reports on facilities projects and activities
  • Ensure all infrastructure environment and equipment is maintained and inspected to meet regulatory standards, and records kept demonstrating compliance
  • Liaise with our insurance company & broker over statutory inspections
  • Work in conjunction with Landlords and estate presence to ensure appropriate security measures are in place, including fire systems, intruder alarms and surveillance systems.
  • Respond to emergency situations or other urgent issues involving the facility as detailed in the Disaster Recovery Plan. As such hold position of Chief fire officer with all protocols associated with that role.
  • Be on the out-of-hours call-out team for intruder alarm activations, and keep a register of all keys issued to keyholders, and intruder alarm panel operators.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5-years' experience of managing a facilities maintenance team
  • Foundation degree in facilities management, or related field.
  • Experience of a wide variety of manufacturing facility activities, equipment and systems
  • Practically minded with strong mechanical and electrical knowledge.
  • Resource planning
  • Experience of Lean CI/SMED/KAIZEN/5S etc are advantageous
  • Highly computer literate, MS365 programs/ MS Project/ CAD
  • Experience of asset management software
  • Strong influencing /interpersonal skills
  • Inquisitive and thorough
  • Methodical and prepared
